In this section you will be meeting some of the photographer and artists that have had their work immortalized onto canvas for future generations to enjoy.Getting some insight into their passion and seeing some of their truly inspiring creations.  

This first article is about a photographer that has a large amount of natural talent. When we put Pete's "Perth Sunset" onto canvas for him, he was not sure whether the colours would come out as vibrant on canvas as they do in a photo. Here is what Pete has to say.... 

 Pete Jackson…My Photography….

“Only about 2 years ago I decide to buy my Nikon D50 and that has changed my life now and hopefully for the future".

In my early teens I remember going to a Royal flower show with my mum, she was the one who asked me to take my dad’s camera and get some pictures for her, seeing as my dad had to work that day. Looking back this must have been the first time I knew I had an eye for a good shot, as even now I remember the photographs looking so good with great colours, crisp edges and how people admired them when we got home.

Oh, why did it take me so long to pick up the camera again, looking back I could have gone and studied photography at college instead of working as an apprentice in a dirty garage, but saying that I might not be in Australia now if I hadn’t.
                                                         

Early mornings and late evenings that’s my favourite time, like most photographers it’s the golden few hours of the day that get the perfect picture, a crisp, cold, damp, frosty British morning with no one in sight to spoil that inspiring landscape shot. Evenings don’t come better than a walk down the coast line in Perth Australia, just as the fire ball in the sky has popped below the sea level the camera lense seems magical, bright red, burnt orange and the power of the Indian ocean lapping sand erasing the foot prints until the next day, the perfect shot!

Forests and valleys, cats and dogs there’s always a unique moment in any subject that will always only happen once and if you capture that on camera then its yours for life, keep it, print it, sell it, share it or give it away, what ever you do with that image you can sit back and say, I did that, that’s mine. The feeling that gives me is awesome, especially when you are looking at it right now, helping to feed the inspiration for that next classic shot.

Being able to have my images printed on canvas by Pauline and Neil at “wow prints” is great, I never really thought I would be using canvas as it seemed old fashioned and plain, lacking colour and feel. Now my perspective has totally changed, seeing my Perth sunset picture with its fiery red sky, amazing depth and feel, colour quality second to none, it just gives my pictures what they deserve.

From this canvas developed at wow prints it’s now given me a second boost to hit harder, aim higher. With their help I can display my work with real pride knowing that I’m getting the best possible result every time. Looking into my future I’m wanting great success, maybe a new career, since moving to Australia from the UK I’m pushing that little harder and one day soon you could be looking at the canvas on your wall saying “Pete Jackson did this one for me”………………………………….
