Production
Canvas Production
Image preparation
Your photo or gallery image is prepared for print using the latest Adobe Photoshop program. This is where any resizing or special effects will be applied to the image.
A proof will be sent to you via email to show how your canvas will look. This ensures that there are no surprises when you receive your finished canvas as production will only begin once we have your approval.

Printing
Your photo/gallery choice is then printed using our Large Format Canon iPF 8100 which uses the latest inks and are rated not to fade for 75 years for colour prints and 100 years for black and white.

Protective Coating
Your printed canvas is then treated with Glamour II Museum Grade Giclée Varnish. This is available in Matte or Gloss. We use matte on all canvases unless otherwise advised.
Apart from enhancing the colours it will also protect your new canvas against moisture and abrasion.
Our Canvas
Chromata White™ Canvas is a textured 20.5 mil Bright White, consistent Poly Cotton Blend Matte Canvas using an acid-free, neutral pH coating. Unlike 99.9% of available inkjet canvas products on the market today (for giclee printing), this Giclée canvas utilizes "Chromata White" optical brightener additive-free and Fluorescent Whitening agent-free breakthrough technology. Timber Frames
We use premium A-Grade timber milled for us. It offers better resistance to twisting, warping and other defects. Our timber has a bevelled edge and is profiled to ensure no framing lines will become noticeable either now or in years to come. We have four framings sizes available: 18mm, generally used for smaller prints or 32mm and 42mm for larger prints. and 50mm Royal Bar for the bold gallery look. We don't use pre-made frames, each frame is made specifically for each order so ANY size is possible.
Stretched
Your canvas is then stretched over the frame and the corners are neatly folded. Framers tape is then applied to keep moisture out and make a neat finish, at this time the D-rings and wire are attached to finish off your canvas.
