Q: Do you guarantee the quality of your prints?
A: Absolutely. We are completely confident that you will love our products and service. We not only print the canvas in-house, we also make the frames and stretch the canvas. This allows us to have fantastic quality control over all of our prints. We only begin production after you have approved your proof so please check your proof carefully.
Q: Are all canvas prints and printers the same?
A: No. Canvas print quality varies greatly and it's not always about getting what you pay for. Funnily enough, the price of the top quality prints and those of inferior prints don't seem to vary greatly, yet the performance and life of the print you buy certainly will. Many backyard manufactures use cheap printers, canvas, ink and timber. Workmanship, care and "eye for detail" also vary remarkably. Placed side by side the differences are quite obvious.
To check the quality of a canvas print, the first thing to do is pick-up the print and have a look at the attention to detail, turn the print over and look at the back. The evidence of quality will be obvious in the detail. Check areas such as the overall finish of the print, type and quality of timber used for stretcher bars, profile of the timber, quality of workmanship on the frame, use of framers tape (to seal from dust and moisture), number of fasteners used to secure the canvas, quality and type of hanging wire used (or not used!) and how such wire is secured.
If you can detect that a printer is cutting corners in obvious areas... then the less obvious areas such as quality of ink and liquid lamination will surely suffer as well. For your print to last a full life, all of the above must be of the highest standard.
Q: Do you specially "profile" your timber frames?
A: Yes. This is very important and something all leading Canvas printers do. The profiling of the frame prevents the timber from touching the canvas on the front of the picture. This prevents the canvas showing marks where the timber and the canvas meet. We also bevel the edges of the timber to minimise any chance of the print cracking or tearing. We take every care to ensure our canvases should look as good in generations to come, as they do today.
Q: What if we don't have quality photo's to print?
A: We have two full time photographers who can help. Please contact us to arrange a time that suits. (Brisbane/Gold Coast only). We also recommend http://www.istockphoto.com
Q: Can we get a group discount for our car, bike or sports club?
A: Absolutely. We offer group discounts to all clubs, schools and other groups. We are also more than happy to attend your club meetings in the Brisbane or Gold Coast area and show your members the quality of our prints. We know they will be impressed. Please contact us to discuss. Special packages are also available for our corporate clients.
Q: Do you service Australia-wide?
A: Yes. We are an online based company located on the Gold Coast and service South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. We can receive your image via email or disc and will courier the finished product to anywhere in the world.Q: What is the maximum size you can print with our images?
A: That will depend on the resolution of the image and the clarity you require. We can print up to 101cm x 304cm. (Frame sizes.) Generally speaking, the higher the resolution of your image the better the outcome. Canvas though is much more forgiving than other mediums used for printing. Therefore until we receive your image we will not be able to give definitive maximum sizes. Keep in mind that large images look awesome and can really make a statement, so don't be shy to go LARGE if your image allows!!Q: How do I send you large files?
A: Go to www.yousendit.com or www.mediafire.com and follow the instructions to upload your file. It will ask for our email address which is (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Once you have uploaded the file it will send us an email with a link to the file, which we can then download. It's a 100% free service and works for files up to 100MB. Once we have reviewed your file we will be in contact to discuss your options and provide a proof. If you have any problems or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us on (07) 5561 8504.
Q: How and when do we pay for our prints?
A: You can pay via Cheque, Credit Card via PayPal (2.5% Surcharge applies) or Direct Debit. Please email us for the details. Cheques require clearance prior to supply of goods.
